Final Day of Centennial Village’s 2018 Season @ Centennial Village Museum

The Sunday before Labor Day marks the final day to visit Centennial Village Museum during its normal operating season. Centennial Village Museum is a living history experience that features over 35 historical buildings, costumed interpreters, heritage farm animals, and 8-acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. Visitors step back in time and learn about the early pioneer settling of the western high plains, a time when grand houses, growing businesses, extensive prairies and agriculture were all a part of daily life.

Admission is $8 per adult, $6 per senior (ages 60+), and $5 per child (ages 3-17). Enjoy the museum’s special family rate and enjoy admission for up to 5 people for only $18.

2018 Potato Day @ Centennial Village Museum

Old time fun and historical activities celebrate the great and plentiful potato during the annual Potato Day celebration! The entire family will enjoy a full day of living history demonstrations, toe-tapping musical entertainment, tasty food and children’s activities. Sink your teeth into a baked potato with your choice of delicious toppings.

The event is a major fundraiser of the Friends of the Greeley Museums. Since 1987, the group has raised and donated nearly $400,000 to the City of Greeley Museums for educational programs and preservation projects. Admission to Potato Day is $7, for everyone ages 3 and older, and includes a baked potato. Additional snacks, beverages and food items are available for additional purchase. 2018 Civil War Weekend @ Centennial Village Museum

The cavalry comes to Centennial Village Museum during its annual Civil War Weekend event. This Civil War Living History event allows visitors to witness a day in the life of a Civil War soldier. Each day of the event features a 1 p.m. battle reenactment and drills. Costumed reenactors will have their tents set up on the southeastern corner of the facility and are living that weekend as they would have during the Civil War—many using historic wares true to the time period. Visitors are encouraged to visit and interact with soldiers in the encampment. The event also features blacksmith, chuckwagon cooking and print shop demonstrations.

2018 Howl-O-Ween Trick or Treat @ Centennial Village Museum

Head to Centennial Village Museum and harvest family fun and memories during the annual Howl-O-Ween trick or treat event. Try your hand at Halloween carnival games, check out the not-so-scary haunted house, trick or treat the historic structures, stop by booths and participate in the costume contest.  Admission is $2 per child, $3 per adult 18 and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

2018 Homesteader’s Holiday @ Centennial Village Museum

Visitors can enjoy candle dipping as well as creating their own ornaments. Food concessions are available with proceeds benefiting the Friends of the Greeley Museums. The Stevens-Reynolds House is decorated in traditional holiday style and Selma’s Store is available for visitors to shop for unique gifts and other holiday items. Admission is only $4 per adult and $2 per senior or child. Youth ages 12 and under are free with each canned food donation for the Weld County Food Bank. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
